I am a father of two grown up boys who are 19 and 23 and who have made me proud in their achievements. I am a martial artist (various) and appreciate the need to be in good shape to enjoy life to the maximum. I have had the pleasure of being a dog owner virtually all my life and have had Cocker Spaniels (crazy) Gigantic German Schnauzers (wonderfully loyal) and of late Old English Sheepdogs two in fact.
Unfortunately Snowball got Leshmaniosis and passed away prematurely.
But Junior is good and well ( 10 years old) and we go jogging most days,because i am not poisoning him anymore with chemicals. He has been wearing the Pet Protector disc for 6 months and he's a happy healthy dog!

ReplyDeleteThank you for posting.The Pet Protector disc has been tried and tested for Fleas and Ticks by the University Veterinary Science Madrid and the Scientific Institute Jovellanos Baracaldo as 95% effective as a control.However, because the discs radiate scaler waves this will repel any small insect in my opinion and experience. Unfortunately, I was unaware of PP many years ago when my dog got Leshmaniosis and had to be put down.
My vet told me that there is no proven preventative control for sandfly although I know they are keen to sell you Advantix.
Regarding the toxicity of Advantix and the like, next time you apply some to your dog or cat, without washing your hands touch a sensitive area of skin on your body,with the finger that had contact with the chemical. Maybe just under your eye ( not in your eye) the reaction your body has, will convince you without doubt of the toxicity of these chemicals. Alternatively Google ''dogs dying due to chemical flea and tick products'' there are several thousand cases of cats and dogs dropping dead right after spot applications. The problem is, that as the fleas and ticks become resistant to the chemicals, every year they make the poison stronger and this is what is harming cats and dogs worldwide. The whole point of the blog is to enlighten people that there is a safe,effective alternative to chemical products that is guaranteed and also lasts up to two years (its also cheaper too).In addition,PP are in process of launching a superior disc which will last four years, although this product is not currently available.
